 Academic Excellence

Academic excellence is awarded to those students who receive a 95% or better over-all average for a marking period, provided they have received no grade lower than 90%. These students shall be placed on the PRINCIPAL'S LIST.

PRINCIPAL'S LIST HONOR ROLL HONORABLE MENTION
95% and above average. 90% and above in all subjects. No N's or U's. 90% and above average. 90% and above in all subjects. No N's or U's. 85% and above in all subjects.

National Honor Society

"The traditions and guideposts of the National Junior Society have always been leadership, service, character, scholarship, and citizenship-ideals that convey important values for responsible youth..."

Students may not apply for membership in the National Junior Honor Society. Membership is granted only to those students selected by the faculty in each school.

According to the constitution, only those students who have been in the school the equivalent of one semester nay be considered for membership. Membership may be open to qualified seventh and eighth graders.

The academic requirement set by the National Council is based on a student's cumulative scholastic average. The minimum scholastic average allowable is 95 percent at St. Patrick School.
